WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits

WSET LogoThe WSET Level 3 Advanced qualification is intended to provide in-depth knowledge of a wide range of wines and spirits and is open to students who hold the WSET Level 2  Intermediate Certificate or can demonstrate knowledge at Intermediate Level through completion of equivalent courses or sufficient wine trade experience.

The course covers wines and spirits of the world in considerable depth over 14 two-hour sessions followed by a two-hour examination on session 15. All sessions include tastings.

The Advanced Certificate is a unitised course and requires students to prove competency in theory and tasting. The examination for the Advanced Certificate is in two parts, a theory examination of 50 multiple-choice questions and four short-answer questions plus a tasting examination consisting of a blind tasting of one wine.

The qualification has full accreditation from the UK Government's Qualifications & Curriculum Authority as a Level 3 Vocational Qualification.

The course will run for either 5 days or 15 evenings.

Cost £665 fully inclusive of the WSET study pack, wines, examination and certification. On full day courses only, a light cold lunch will be provided.
